Born in a "Main Street" town of Queens Village, New York, some of my happiest times as a child were in the town square watching the puppet shows with my dad. I have been in Newberry for only five years, but I love the small town main street quality we have in our neighborhood. I work with GoNewberry.com and provide hosting and Internet marketing solutions for many of our small businesses. I love my job, and enjoy Church activities at Destiny Community Church, family, travel, and Sunday hikes, bikes, canoeing and motorcycle riding.

My husband and I fell in love with this area of Florida and moved to Jonesville from CA in 2003.  We love the atmosphere of a small town and the people are wonderful.  We joined the chamber to meet new people and see what was going on in this community.  Great things are happening in Newberry and I am excited to be a part of it.  I have owned my own Arbonne, pure Swiss skin care, business for the past 7 years and I work from home so I can help my elderly parents and sister.  Arbonne has many products made from natural botanicals; ie. skin care, weight management, aromatherapy, nutrition and more.

 Blake Fletcher Blake Fletcher, Director
Phone:352-538-1982
Email: fletcherdevelopment@gmail.com

Blake Fletcher was born and raised in Gainesville, Florida, and is a fourth-generation Floridian. After graduating from Oak Hall High School, he attended and graduated from Millisaps College in Jackson, Mississippi. During his time at Millsaps, Blake became associated with Cutco knives and finished in the top 5 nationally for total sales volume. It was at this point that Blake became firmly convinced that he wanted a career in sales and marketing. Blake credits his sales accomplishments to the belief that "knowing your product is the heart and soul of any salesperson. You have to believe in your product and be deeply knowledgeable about the product and all of its uses."

While attending college, Blake was on the traveling soccer team, helped re-colonize the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, and studied abroad. Blake has interned at Merrill-Lynch in New York, where he worked in the finance division. During his senior year of college, he studied international business at the London School of Economics and finance in Munich and Florence. These experiences have given Blake a true idea of what it means to think outside the box - to be unafraid to think differently.

Blake is a second generation real estate professional and has worked with his father’s development company since returning home in 2005. Blake is also a real estate sales associate with Bosshardt Realty and specializes in commercial property. Blake works in several different areas of commercial real estate, from managing multiple buildings to tenant and landlord representation. Blake also works with local municipalities and landowners to change or modify land use, zoning, and site plan approval. In 2009, Blake completed the land use, zoning and preliminary site plan approval on Fletcher Plaza, a 122,000 square foot lifestyles center in West Gainesville. Along with normal commercial real estate duties, Blake is currently working on a land use and zoning project in the City of Gainesville and serves on the Metropolitan Transportation Planning Organization's Citizen Advisory Committee, which serves as a citizen advisory board on large transportation issues and projects in Alachua County.
