Newberry Elementary School, the best kept secret in Alachua County, is located in the heart of Newberry. Recognized for its high achievement, innovative practices and technology use, the school focuses every lesson as a reading lesson and has a school-wide homework policy of reading with your child every night.

The school has Head Start through fourth grade, and a quickly growing population of 510 students. The students enjoy gifted classes, art music, PE, media and computer lab. The school has some of the most up-to-date technology throughout the building including surround sound systems and smart boards

Newberry Elementary's Principal for the past six years is Mrs. Lacy Redd. She is a local hometown girl from High Springs. She strives to hire top notch staff that believes in making every child successful. She creates a fun and loving environment with high expectations for learning and behavior

Oak View Middle School

Oak View Middle School, home of the Panthers, opened in January, 1994. The school serves 500 students in grades 5-8. Faculty and staff are highly qualified and dedicated. Mrs. Karen Clarke has served as principal since 2005 and has been in the Newberry Schools since 1992. She began at Oak View as a teacher, before serving as dean until her appointment as assistant principal in 2000. Her goals for Oak View include expanding the math, science and technology programs. In fact, Oak View was recently honored as a SMART Showcase School which recognizes exemplary technology initiatives.

Oak View provides an educational environment where there is clear academic challenge, but where each child can still experience success. The key to this success lies in a caring relationship between the teacher, student, parents and the community. Oak View recognizes student achievement, constantly teaches character and promotes many extra-curricular activities

Newberry High School

Newberry High School is the home of the Panthers where Panther pride is stronger than ever before. The mission is to shape responsible, intelligent people who will be an asset to the community. The motto at Newberry High School is, "If it is to be, it is up to me!" We teach our students that their attitude toward learning will carry into their adult lives. Success is achieved by setting realistic goals and striving to reach them. Each of us must take responsibility for our own actions.

Newberry High School underwent a rigorous assessment in the spring of 2008, and it passed with flying colors. The Quality Assurance Review Team's commendations said, among other positive things, that Newberry High School's culture is characterized by warmth and caring.

Principal Hershel Lyons began his teaching career at Newberry Elementary then transferred to NHS as dean and coach. After serving in several other Alachua County Schools he came home to Newberry in 2003 as principal of Oak View Middle School and in 2005 was appointed as principal at Newberry High.
